Google Unnatural Link Penalty Message-Webmaster paying for link removal

Online world is really unpredictable and Google algorithm changes make it more unpredicted J

I found one interesting thread on a webmaster forum. In this thread people are talking about the ‘Unnatural Link Notification from Google (GWT)’.

I have recently posted an article about the notification message sent by ‘Google Webmaster Tool’ and in that post Matt Cutts (Google Web Spam Team head) given a hint that soon people will start getting ‘Unnatural Link’ notification.

Google Unnatural Link Penalty

Lots of webmasters are getting these ‘Unnatural Link Notification’ from Google. It is a kind of Google Penalty that’s why people have scared from it as it will impact their domain ranking in SERP that will directly impact their business.

Google unnatural link penalty, Unnatural Link Notification, What us unnatural links, unnatural links penalty

Link Removal Request

Now people have started sending ‘Link Removal Request’ to each other. I have also received many such requests.

Hello, Sorry for the inconvenience but due to some reason our site has been penalized so we have been working on the link removal process and trying to delete all the external links. I hope you will understand.

So I would like to request please delete my comment on this page.

This was my comment Thanks a lot for providing such a great list of SEO Forum sites. I will use this great resource soon. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks & Regards, Richard

Change Anchor Text

Couple of webmaster requested to change the ‘Anchor Text’; although I am not able to understand how changing the anchor text can revoke their unnatural link penalty.

Even it may make their link more unnatural and spamy because of sudden change in anchor text.

No hint which link is Unnatural

Google is just sending unnatural link notification but right now they are not telling us which link is unnatural so people are sending ‘Link Removal Request’ randomly based on their experience.

Matt Cutts shared information that Google is working on a change that will add example of unnatural links in notification. This change is in progress and soon will be rolled out.

Now the problem for webmaster is to locate the natural link and then remove that. We are so much busy and we can’t entertain each link removal request.

One of the member mentioned that he has asked 20$ to remove the link from his blog (It seems a nice business idea to me J ).

For removing a link from my blog – 20$

For changing the anchor text – 15$

What you guys say? Will it work?

My question to Google

I don’t know why Google is not just ignoring the unnatural links. If they are capable of finding the unnatural links then they should have ignore those backlink why they are sending ‘Unnatural Link’ messages?

It seems that all Google changes only for webmasters not for search engine itself J

hahah nice thought here. Why google is not just ignoring the unnatural links.

I guess you are right but google people just want to give us some extra work so that we don’t get much more focused on essential tasks of webmastering.

Don’t you think that google won’t give a penalty to people using commentLuv as it may be considered as a link building strategy?
